Hi
I first posted here in February this year and have since buried my head in the sand but a month ago finally realised that I had to stand up and deal with my debts.
I contacted Payplan and discussed my debts and income, they advised a DMP which I have just signed up to do. Although they were extremely helpful at the beginning I do not seem to be able to get advice very easily from them now.I have been waiting in all morning for a phone call as i e mailed them yesterday with a queerie, I just phoned and my adviser is not in the office.
My debts total £63.000 and I need advice as to whether to go bankrupt.
I have also received a Statutory demand from Citibank. I sent a copy to Payplan and they sent it back with a letter saying I have to get it signed at my local county court (have not got a clue what to do ) which is why I need to speak to Payplan.
I will keep trying to contact them but in the meantime could anyone offer any advice please.
I am a regular visitor to this site and have read some of your helpful replies.
Thanking you all in anticipation.

Hi gelf
Don't know much about statutory demands, but here's some details you amy find helpful.

The first 2 things i would do are:
contact national debtline for advice http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/ 0800 808 4000
Request a copy of the customer credit agreement (CCA)
