Buying Seat Leon - need advise!

Hi,

I am new to this site, and am desparatly seeking advise for buying a used Seat Leon (1.6) with low mileage, diesal. I love the Seat Leon Coupra R. I have a budget of approx £7000 budget, also looking at 0% finance. Can anyone advise me where to go for good deals, as I have had extemly bad luck buying from Auto trader.

Many thanks

I think the only way you'll get 0% finance is by 'using the system' and switching to a 0% card, but most now charge a fee to counter that abuse. It may be worth checking if there's an auction site near to you, at least then you can check over the car 1st and if bidding goes too high then move on to the next or walk away. You will invariably get a better deal there though.

First car on this page looks good and under budget, so finance may not be required?

  • You can get 0% finance on a variety of new cars (Mazda, SEAT, Vauxhall, Citroen), check out their websites to see which models are available on these deals.

I wouldn't trust Auto Trader again though - I have had 3 bad experiances with them!

    Three? Ouch.

A private sale would 'in theory' be a safer bet, as long as they dont ask you to meet elsewhere, or wont let you start it! Maybe do an HPi check first, take an RAC man with you when you see it, or if you can, get the reg 1st (for insurance purposes?) and ring a Seat dealer to find out some more info, make sure it's what they are claiming.
