Display Properties Missing

Hey all,
I've been asked to look at a friends computer as the 'Desktop and 'Screensaver' tabs have disappeared from the Display properties menu.
I've done a virus scan etc and the system seems to be clear.
I've read a few sites on how to fix the problem but as yet none have worked.
Does anyone know how to get the tabs back?

No, this was working fine one day tand then the next it wasn't.
I've just managed to get the 'Screensaver' tab back by editing the registry, just need the 'Background' tab now.I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -

leave his signature line alone, i wouldnt have even noticed that,, i thought it was correct and still do..
there is two types of English to me,, II D2 II'S version, and Proper English
