Can I install just Word without Excell, Powerpoint and all the rest of it because I only use Word? OR can I buy just Word?

asYes you can. If you have a copy of Microsoft Office 2007, during the installation it will ask you if you want an "express" installation or a "custom" installation. Click on "custom" and then untick the boxes for the programs that you don't want installed.
You can buy Word 2007 by itself but its not best value for money since it retails for about £180, whereas the Student & Home version of the Office 2007 retails for about £55 and comes with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

yes you can install just the applciations you want, custome install and you can pick what you want.
Not sure about just buying Word as a stand alone package, I know a few years ago I bought a PC and it came with a CD with just Word on it, but that was 10 years ago or so."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

You can just buy Word, either the home and student edition (or the normal version), Amazon stock it at £70, however Office 2007 Home/Student edition is cheaper at £55, so you'd be mad to buy just Word!0

yep just buy the whole package and custom install it, it willl save you money and in the off chance you want the other packages they are available0
