Hi everyone
I previously posted with a problem I'm having with junk mail. It all goes to my inbox now instead of junk mail folder. I installed the recent filter but still having the same problem.
This is starting to get frustrating as I've so much junk mail to go through. Can I uninstall Microsoft Outlook and reinstall it again and hopefully it will be ok? Or maybe it's not as easy as that?
Thanks
sunni

If you are getting lots of junk mail, reinstalling Outlook is unlikely to have any real effect. Do you have a really obvious e-mail address e.g. name@whatever.com A new e-mail account would probably solve your junk mail problems but only if you are careful who you give it to. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

No my email isn't obvious and most junk mail went into the junk mail folder, now it doesn't so don't know what went wrong! If you are getting lots of junk mail, reinstalling Outlook is unlikely to have any real effect. Outlook for some reason recieves loads of spam,, you should have been careful as to what you signed up to,, but for now you cannot get rid of it, because when you block one, another 5 come through with different names,, you should have multiple email addresses

And open a hotmail account for any online signups that you dont want to have to filter emails from.0

Everything was going ok and I don't know why all mail goes to my inbox now, none go to junk mail folder like before! Anyway I'm going through them all and adding sender to blocked senders list, sounds like a waste of time then and maybe I should just delete my email account and create a new one!Outlook for some reason recieves loads of spam,, you should have been careful as to what you signed up to,, but for now you cannot get rid of it, because when you block one, another 5 come through with different names,, you should have multiple email addresses

As fast as you add them they will use different sender addresses!

It's an ongoing battle really. You could check with your email provider to see if you can add a spam filter at their end.
I'm sure there is a way implementing a system (perhaps not in Outlook) by which you send all emails NOT from your contacts to your spam folder. You could also try and block emails which have images embedded in them. You could setup auto replies for filtered messages explaining why they were blocked.
But of course, creating a new email address is the easy answer. It just takes one spammer to get a hold of it though and then you have to start over. It seems a shame to let them win!--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
If you cannot scroll up in Google Chrome, google:
"google chrome scroll fix"
I have released a program to fix it.

Can you not create a sub account with your ISP, example both my partner and I have unique email address with BT but on the same account, set up the sub account, import your address book to it, email all your needed contacts the new email, have both running for a little while in outlook until your new email address its being used by the people you want to use it then delete the spammed email address."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"
