i have a new (ok, 2nd hand actually) pc from a friend, and have noticed that his name appears when i open up word, or excel document etc.. ('registered to..')
any way to chahge the base name? the company has gone ubder, so now way of getting licences changed over if that is needed..?

Start, Run, type regedit then edit the RegisteredOwner key value located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
