TD Waterhouse is rubbish

Tried to buy 2,000 @ £2.29 Lloyds TSB yesterday at 4.25 and the system just wasn't working, just got a message "Unfortunately the system has encountered a problem that it could not resolve". Even today i can't access my portfolio or do trades  Any one else had this issues with TDW? Time to move broker?
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.

I'm having the same problems with Halifax, think loads of us little people are trying to trade on line, and all systems are overloaded. Bloody frustrating, and costing me money.

They're likely swamped because everybody thinks the banks are fixed since they only went down because shorters made them, no more shorters in the banks so it's time to buy, also lots of wouldbe daytraders having a punt.

Halifax is also not letting me create a trade plan, and an order I placed an hour ago has still not been executed. Arrrgggghhhhhhh.

TDW site working now (sort of), but still not letting me sell live and wants to execute at 'best market price' It's not even banking shares!

My deal eventually showed up. They had executed it promptly, just took them 3 and a half hours to update my account to show they had made the sale! Suppose they are having a busy day, shan't worry next time.

You did the negotiated trade thing? Did they get a reasonable price for that time?

Selftrade does at least compare the quotes it gets to the market average
