We had the neighbours round the other day telling us to sort ourselves out this year and not let the street down for having crappy lights! lol!
Tbh, I love getting the house all festive so I'm happy DH agreed to get them. (and he's paying and he's not in debt)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
That's good to hear Jinky, one of the best ones was a my best friends dad, he was much loved and Rotarians were queueing up to tell tales of his antics..we were all laughing and it helped the family...such a lovely thoughtful, well planned out funeral.
Hi Bunny i refuse to put lights outside..being a tight Northerner, i just open my Curtains and let the neighbours light illuminate my lounge!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

he couldnt understand why everyone was knotting themselves laughing:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

Jinky - glad it went as well as it could, awful things to go to at the best of times
Bunny - £300 - eeeeekkk!!! Hope that is lots of pancake mix!!
Louise - I am envious - I LOVE quizzes and pop ones are probably my favourite, pity I'm so far away.
Got to pop out at 4 to go to the pub for a leaving presenation for a member of staff, not really fussed but haven't been to the last 2 so should go I guess. I was asked my opinion on the probable office move by the head of service and I thought - to hell with it - and said that if I was in the same post at the time it happens , I would leave, but if I were in a different post, I would make a decision depending on the situation. Thought - might as well be straight with them - if they value having me around, maybe they'll think about me for the new structure in a better job
OH is out on the beer tonight so I can crack on and do some AQA. I think I'm about 80% there for my teaching planning for the first session with some bits done for the rest. I will havemore to do over the weekend such as buying a couple of timers and gathering plastic pots to put ingredients in, but I need desparately to do some AQA over the weekend.
I've been asked to work Monday morning again, might as well as I earn more in the 4 hours than I normally do on AQA (mostly because I faff around doing nothing on a Monday morning after working all weekend!)
