Microsoft Antispyware beta for scumware http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Better than Adaware in recent surveys.
And AVG for Virus removal and email sacanning as it is a AntiVirus complete package

Already run avg-find it very good.I just ran a housecall scan and had 6 low risk cookies so they've gone.Do you think iys worth dumping my adaware for m/soft?? yes i'm using xp--why?? serious answers only.0

Keep both adaware and MS, oh did you run avg in safe mode?
If youre using XP its nice to know as US geeks dont have Crystal Balls

Restart the PC and tap F8 on start up to go into safe mode then run a scan once finished just restart PC as normal0

I was using AVG but it allowed a nasty trojan onto my laptop a while ago, I use avast now0

I've run avg in safe mode and got 2 errors:-partition tableMBR and boot sector disk C.Both came up as reading error--what does that mean??0

Just a quick thought if you definitely have a Trojan (as opposed to spyware, virus etc.)...I would agree ewido is excellent and TrojanHunter is specifically designed to remove Trojans. You get it free for a trial period so it can clean out Trojans you have at the moment.
