Why don't you just call Capital One and explain there was a website problem, and ask them to refund your bank account??
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
They probably won't claim the first £80 and the transaction will fall off your bank account transaction list in a few days.
If not, well, you've paid your balance down a little.0 -

I have had the same problem- paid £200 off this month- it said it failed so tried again- but yet again it said it failed...decided to leave it but then noticed a day later 2 x £200 had come out of my account! Spoke to bank and they gave me authorisation codes to give to Cap One but this didn't make a blind bit of difference. NO CREDITS are showing on my Cap One account and they have told me there is a problem and I will get an answer by letter in two weeks!!!?? I can't actually believe this has happened- I wouldn't e as annoyed if a credit was at least showing on the account. There must be more people this has happened to?? Absolutely gutted with them0

Big organisations love passing the customer between them like the ball in a game of table-tennis. Each deny it's down to them to sort out.
If both amounts have debited your bank account, it's down to Capital One to refund one of them, but they don't have to unless your Capital One account is now £80 in credit.0 -
after screaming down the phone phone for a week putting up with pure lies from capital one in wherever they are trying to get a srtaight answer was hard
all along i was told the money would be refunded into my account, instead it went on my cap1 card, which didnt bother me as i only had to pay £18 more to close it down.... lol
they really do annoy me!!!!
the same thing happened to my girlfriend and to my m8 only theres were taken 30x times leaving them in financial problems with there bank....
i would have thought it would have been classed as fraud as technically you arnt agreeing to the transactions????
its shameful how this company gets away with it!0 -
Whats in my pocket? Nothing thanks to Capital One! . I went onto Capital One site to pay £160.00 at the end of September. The site said error please try again later, after filling in all details. Tried later that day so that I would not be charged late payment. Checked my bank account it had been taken out 8 times and only shows once on my statement. After repeated calls to god knows where, and supervisors I have recieved 2 payments back. I have been promised payment of the outstanding 5 payments on three different dates now, and guess what still no refund. :mad:0
