    Birmingham Midshires and Bank of Scotland are part of the HBOS group now taken over by LloydsTSB

    HBOS = Halifax+Bank Of Scotland and include Birmingham Mids, Intelligent Finance, The AA, and SAGA I think.

    HBOS don't own the AA and Saga brands, but, via Birmingham Midshires, provide savings products to AA and Saga customers.

    I should have added "and as such are classed as HBOS savings accounts for the purposes of the FSCS".
