MBNA (who holds virgin as well) turned me down too. There was no credit check as well on my report. When I appealed, that 's when they credit checked my experian file.
  • Have you got any other MBNA cards? Could be the reason.
2p off is still 2p off!
  • no other mbna cards . . i do a lot of balance tranfers so I try to keep an eye on which company/ cards are from . . . .

I was first refused for a Virgin C/C. Recieved a letter from them telling me to contact Experian. As i Knew my file was ok, i sent them copies of both Experian and Equifax credit files and a letter telling them how to search for my address....

Didnt hear anything until i phoned Virgin about 3 Weeks later, was put on hold for a few minutes. Then the lady said "Yes, you have been accepted and you have £3000."
