Help my laptop is writing the wrong letters

Can anybody assist me mylaptop is having a nervous breakdown....:eek: for some reason when i try and use letters i u o m l k j iand number 0 if don't press the Fn key at the same time i will get different characters, e.g instead of i I get 5, instead of o I get 6, 5 instead of p I get * the only way to get the letter is to press the Fn key at the same time as the letter which is driving me crazy :mad:

If anybody can tell me how to fix this i would be forever grateful

Do you have Num Lock under one of the function keys?

I sometimes have to press Fn and Num Lk and that usually sorts it out?

Your number lock is on. This means you can use the integrated number pad to input numbers, instead of having to use the line of numbers across the top.
To turn off numlock, just press and hold the fn button while you press the numlock key (it's written in blue under one of the F buttons - F11 on mine).
