Tongue n Groove ... (drafts) ... any advice?

The understairs is boxed in with tongue and groove type panels (looks naff but will have to do).
There are some 'gaps' appearing which are letting in quite a draft. (Brrr!)
Any suggestions on how I can remedy this?
Needs to be as cheap as poss - tight/no real budget to speak of
Would some kind of sealant work?
On a temp basis, should I try and line it with something?
Would really appreciate suggestions.

For a Blue Peter solution, try squidging some papier mache into the gaps (cross-cut shredder and wallpaper paste - use any left-overs for xmas decorations).0

If that gaps ain't huge get some decorators filler about £2 to £3 best to get it from local hardware store not B&Q. I can get it from mine for £1.50. You need a mastic gun though not sure how much they are but I would say well under a fiver, there always useful to have.0
