Hello, Can anyone help please
I have tried all links in the FSA and FSCS sites but cannot find any help on this.
We have savings in a joint account with Nottingham Building Society
We also have separate accounts with Chelsea Building Society and
We have a joint account with Leeds Building Society.
I know that the FSCS covers us individually for £35000 per financial institution but I need to know if the above Societies are separately authorised under the protection scheme of are they part of a larger group and if so which please. Where can I find this information please.
Many thanks.

Try the FSA Register Check, e.g. Chelsea is registered as "206039 - Chelsea Building Society", it's a stand-alone mutual and is not part of a group.0

Thanks for your help. Does anyone know about Nottingham B/s and Leeds???0

It looks as though you need to go to the link given by Baldur, enter the name of the institution, then click on 'Names' - to display the various institutions sharing the same registration.Stompa0

As well as the above, this may also help, as it shows who owns who. And the ones you've mentioned own themselves, so aren't part of a group owned by someone else:

Hope this helps.0 -
as far as I know the NOttingham is an indepedent mutual so would presume has its own license, Leeds is another independent mutual (is this the one which used to be called leeds and holbeck?) so again would presume would have own license. I think its only companies that have merged or been taken over that shares licences0

Those 3 aren't connected & yes Leeds used to be L&H.
I have accounts with all 3 & they definitely have nothing to do with each other.0 -
Thanks to all for your help. Links have been great help too0
