2Gb SD card. Card readers will not recognise

Just bought a 2gb sd card to put load of piccies on my Digital photo frame.
The card takes pictures fine and displays them on the frame so I know it is compatable. My digital camera also lets me format it.
Problem is I cannot copy piccies from my pc as it says it needs formatting then fails to format. It starts the process then fails. This happens through both of my card readers. Also if it is left in the slot too long, it freezes one card reader(all in one printer) by the light staying on when the card is removed and the pc will not boot up with it in the card reader via a USB 2.0 port.
I was warned against HC cards as they are not compatable with loads of stuff but thought I would be ok with a 2GB

Card readers read, to format a card you need a reader/writer, do you have a reader/writer? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Yeah I have managed to do it somehow!
I put my normal card into the USB so it recognised the port F then put the new card in whilst F port was recognised on My computer, then copied files and it worked!
For some reason port F was not recognised with the 2gb card in 1st0
