Does anyone know if Toca race driver 3 will run on Vista?

According to Codemasters:

This version of the game does not officially support Windows Vista, however if you do the following, you should be able to get the game to run:

1) If you have problems installing or running the game - receiving a message concerning administrator privileges - you can run the installation routine or the game itself by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as administrator"

2) If you receive an error code 1275, you will need to update the protection drivers from here...

After installing these newer drivers, you will need to re-boot your PC. Once this is done, the game should run.

I got exactly the same reply from Codemasters. I was hoping someone here may have installed the game, and had a result.

if the other suggestions don't work, try running it in compatibility mode with XP SP2 (right click the .exe file in the games install folder > properties > compatibility > tick the box next to "run this program in compatibility mode" and make sure windows xp (service pack 2) is selected from the dropdown menu > apply > ok > try the game again)

It's a great game, worth trying, give it a go (I'm on the PS2 so can't help). I'm pretty sure Codemasters have a forum on their site which should have loads of people that have tried it. Tell us how you get on...
