The question was rhetorical ! clearly!

How people get wrapped up in their own pedantry.

What a useful contribution you have made to the thread, thanks ever so much.

You don't know me, and from the tone of your posts I'm rather glad I don't know you. If you have a problem why not PM me rather than filling the thread with piffle?
  • I think the thread is interesting and not a waste of time but anyway who I’m I to say, but if anyone’s interested hurdle number two only found one repair company in my area willing to do an engineer’s report on a plasma TV £100 payable by me, £40 to collect TV £60 for report, have contacted insurance company but still waiting for their response

Why? You were implying that insurance companies are all villians who deal with claims all the same way. You clearly dont have much knowledge of the relvent situation to comment much on it, only to snipe.

The OP is going through a proven, low-level anti-fraud technique. If he provides the photos, there should be no issues with the claim.

It has not been asked so far, I don't think, but what was the cause of the damage? What were the basic circumstances of the incident?

Just to see if it assists in a possible explanation for the photographic request...
