Being part of a regional federation can cause difficulties for enrolment, for example I had to enrol with my Uni online 3 weeks ago but couldnt take the confirmation to the college where my course is based until monday.
So monday morning, bright and early I went to the college and formally enrolled there. No problem. I take my loan forms up to Student Finance, an office consisting of 25 people. Only the one who deals with faxing the copies of the student loan letters is off ill.
My friend and I are assured someone else will do it. Yesterday comes, no loan. Friend goes up to finance to be told the girl is still of ill and the forms are "on her desk" waiting for her return. My friend has bills and needs the money so gets a little wound at them, they promise to fax the forms through yesterday afternoon.
Ive just come off the phone to student finance, and surprise surprise nothing has been faxed through. The girl tells me even if they were sent today it will be mid week next week before we see any money
Why, in an office of 25 people cant one of them fax over the dozen forms on a desk!!
Luckily Im not desperate for the cash, would have been useful but I can manage. Most of my classmates cant.
/end vent.

I dont want to put a downer on this, but Id be really surprised if yours actually comes through within a week. Expect 2-3, nothing gets done in a rush.0 -
