Google Images!!!

Hey,
Whenever i type an internet page into the adress bar for some it searches it in google images! Any ideas on how to stop this? As it is stopping me searching for new pages....also every now and then it does it when I click a link on a website.

Please Help

  • Hi there, sounds like your searching in Googles's images. In the right hand corner of the web page there should be a list of words: Web, Images, Maps etc. Try an press back onto Web and hoepfully that is it.

    Ohh no im not even using google. Its whenever i use the main adress bar, you know where to type 'www.moneysavingexpert.com' or whatever. It as works for pages i have previously visited, as they come up in the drop-down tab, but i cant go to any new pages!!

  • Do you have the google toolbar? If so, it should have a blue g in the far left where you type in your search text. If not click on whatever is there and from the drop down menu choose web. Should be better now.

    Course, if you don't have the toolbar please ignore me. I'll think again.

    Ive already uninstalled the google toolbar, ages cos had this problem, it went away and now has started again

  • could be a malware, spyware, virus problem look in the stickys at the top of the board for malware bytes and spybot d/l them (if you can) and run them

    Which web browser are you using? In IE6 and IE7, you can go to Tools / Internet Options / Advanced tab and select "Do not search from the Address bar".

    A bit strange that it does this when you click on links, though, so probably worth a quick scan for malware...
