Does anyone know anything about this Bond?
I am a much relieved person this morning as I wrote to Friends Provident asking to withdraw my funds and close my account - just before the current hiatus. I watched as their shares plummeted and my heart has been in my mouth, awaiting the cheque.
Thank heavens - it was made out on 12 Sep 08, just before the shares dropped! Nevertheless, I have lost a large part of my original investment.
I need to put the money somewhere and have been told that this Bond is worth considering.
I am a retired person and am hoping eventually to take a small amount of income from the bond to supplement my pension.

I'm not a fan. There are better options with guarantees. Especially if you only want a guarantee on death.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
