When you say that have £80,000 invested in lloyds, do you mean they own £80k of LTSB shares (as thats the only way to invest in lloyds)?

Or do you mean they have placed £80k of investments through Lloyds advisers (into Scottish Widows products)?

Or do you mean they havent invested but have £80k or savings?

If it is investments placed through scottish widows then are they S&S ISAs, unit trusts, investment bonds or pensions?

They are protected under the 35k deposits scheme. However, this is LTSB so I wouldnt worry about it. If lloyds were short of money they wouldnt be buying. They are probably the second most financially secure bank in the UK. By the time they go under, the whole UK banking system would have collapsed and there would be no value in sterling or anything that is not tangible. A wheelbarrow full of dead leaves would have more value.

Ironically the crap posted by our US spammer, immediately above, makes more sense than most of the plethora of Lloyds / HBOS threads he's depositing it into !

lol - spam removed so it now looks like you are responding to my post ;)

I have to agree though, the amount of LTSB/HBOS threads repeating the same thing is a little frustrating for the regulars.

That along with, "is my money safe", "we are all doomed" threads, I wish people would get a grip, or at the worst, search the forums first!

Off to stuff more fivers into the loft space as insulation, best place for 'em apparently ;)

I suppose it makes a change from the "I want compensation" or "i've been ripped off" despite it being their own fault threads.
