Am struggling to make it this month, it should be about £12 more than my sig states but ASDA "forgot" to deduct the vouchers and I am still waiting on a reply from them. As soon as I have it I will update but dont want to fool myself by doing it now.

I have made a whole 47pence so far this month.

That might be because I've spent less than a fiver so far :)

Almost at the end of my self-set Empty The Freezer So I Can Defrost It Challenge.

I go for empty, rather than try to keep stuff chilled somewhere else cold, because it means using up all those things that have languished in there because I never really fancy them. I'll be making a hake mornay type thing with extra breadcrumbs tonight, and some sort of veg curry soup type thing after that, defrost some croissants for breakfast in a day or so... and I'm done.

Then I'll have a big shop to do and might just get enough Pin Money to brag about :)

If only it was my REAL monthly groceries expenditure. :)

It's artifically low because I'm emptying the freezer and because my cupboards are well stocked. My big shop for this month, therefore, when I do it, will be a bit bigger than usual. Ho hum. Swings and roundabouts :)

I made a virtual saving of £4 on Wednesday by purchasing a joint at the end of the day ... I cooked it that evening and broke it down into portions for freezing/eating.

Haven't got any monthly totals to hand as I'm holding back on spending right now ... I need to do a big shop and I have some Tesco coupons where I will get double points on my total spend; deliberately letting certain items run down so I can then maximise on the double points. :o
As I utilise the Tesco CC so that I can max out on points using that too ... I'm simply waiting for the bill cut off date (I pay it off in full each month) so that it won't all come out on the due bill and I'll get the full 6wks "interest free" bit (if you see what I mean LOL ).

I have been working on the Holiday meal/menu plans/activities so that I know for sure what I will need to buy and I'm pretty happy that food/householdwise I should be "quids in" :) - sadly this will have to be balanced out with "other" expenses and DIY; but, at least it won't be "debt" ;)

    :T :T :T :T Well DONE!!!

Don't feel *stuck* for things to buy with all the money you've been saving ... keep saving it and let it EARN you money - in interest ;)

You're doing brilliant! Half the battle to reducing expenditure is having the right attitude towards spending/worth/value. Keep up the good work :T

    Queenie, while you're here...

I just did a quick resize thing on the avatar you have and could probably get the quality closer to the original if I play around with it a bit. Like make the face pink instead of purple and make those dust specks a bit paler if you like...?

I haven't set myself a pin money challenge this month as we won't be cooking the last week - the joy of relatives, and quite a lot of what I saved last month was the 20% off clothes in Tescos and 25% off in Sainsburys and might not have bought all that stuff in there had it not been for the saving - but am having a selling stuff challenge instead.

Need to get rid of some more stuff from the spare room and have decided to use the selling stuff money to get our wedding rings for next summer :)

So target for this month is £20 using small ads via work at the moment - plenty of things on there and got a few bits on amazon too :)
