Looking for free PSP stuff?

Just got my hands on a PSP and I am looking for
free stuff(games,movies,music,themes etc).

Anyone know of any sites where I can d/load content
directly via the PSP's web browser?

My PSP is running firmware version 4.01 m33 so
I can't use homebrew :(

Ahhhhh, from reading up I see that firmware version
    4.01 M33 is a custom firmware.

Does this mean I can install homebrew games/apps?

    Anyone?

    Yes.

As for downloading games, music and movies, you're on your own there I'm afraid.

Ok, forget music/movies, do you know of any sites where
I can download homebrew games directly using the PSP's
inbuilt web browser or is it not that simple/do I need to
    install anything else first?

ps. got the mains adapter from Game as you recommended Marty
    cheers.

I don't have homebrew on my PSP (the joys of buying a PSP Slim with the latest firmware pre-installed!), so I can't advise you on the specifics I'm afraid. There are quite a lot of websites dedicated to the subject though. If you Google "PSP homebrew", you'll find loads. There are also lots of tutorials on YouTube if you search for the same thing there.

I'm glad you got it sorted. I'm looking for an extra battery for mine to amuse myself during 12 hours of flying to the US, but getting one that's not a pirated knock-off is proving quite a challenge. I think I'm just going to have to take a chance and see what happens.
  • Alot of the homebrew games need 1.5 kernel and need to be placed into the PSP150 file.
  • This is the site i get all my homebrew off http://dl.qj.net/PSP/catid/106 you can still downgrade a offical 4.05 if you have a pandora battery and a magic memory stick but it might not be compatible with the motherboard at the moment.
