Hey all, just got an email for .com, and they have despatched my order, and say my points can be picked up in 5 days? It this including the weekend? Also the points aren't showing as pending on .com? *lost*

    Morning MBB

USUALLY the points are available to pick up as soon as the order is delivered. HOWEVER, since the lovely:eek: new website appeared, the points for both of my orders never showed. I called CS for the first lot and they couldn't even trace my order but agreed to manually add the points, but the last order I got included the JK glitch, so I am a bit scared of phoning them again incase they decide they want more money.

Sooo the moral of the story is don't hold your breath for the points, they may never arrive:rotfl: :rotfl: (hope they do though)

Hi Everyone! I was a regular on this board a few months back but haven't been able to get online for ages and have really missed it - but IM BACK!!!! Passion8 and Rubylou - are you still out there?? I miss you!! I'm now married and need you ladies to stop me turning into a boring old married woman lol. Hope everyone is well - have read back a few threads and seen the posts about no chat etc so hope it is ok to post this here :) I look forward to chatting to all you other peeps that weren't here when I orignally joined. I also saw you have a facebook group - that is wicked - would love to join if it is ok with everyone else?

    Jo xx
Mrs Jo_2k ....Welcome back! :T As a 'newly-wed', I'd imagine people would think you were ermm busy? rather than boring :D;)

I'll try and keep this post to the minimum (for obvious reasons ;)) so will PM later, but you were missed. :) We were counting down the weeks to your wedding and wondering if the weather stayed ok for you, so I hope it did :) (Also thought about you whenever Expert scar serum is mentioned lol.)

rubylou (and I don't think she'll mind me mentioning this now as many peeps have been asking about her) is recovering from yet from another operation :(but I think it's safe to say she's on the mend as she's been spotted in Boots :D

I'll PM the rest in a mo, but good to see you back xx Morning to all btw, and I hope you all have a great day's shopping (or at least win the battle against boots dot com lol.)

I'll be back later when I promise to at least *try* and keep on-topic lol. Apologies for this off-topic one x

I doubt CS will be able to help you as the site is not supposed to be live yet :)

Thanks for pointing that out. I did phone CS though this morning and they didn't know why the Xmas Shopping Evening dates weren't on the site and they hadn't got a list of them. They advised me to phone the branches for the dates. So I've just phoned Boots in Birmingham High Street and they don't know the dates yet either!
But Merry Hill were able to give me their dates: :j

   Lol, if they don't show I will be definitely getting them added by CS....the order was for a points glitch, but legally speaking if they take payment, and deliver the order they are entering into a contract and therefore must fulfil the terms - I think this is the case anyway, but will be definitely chasing it up, and wouldn't just let it go lol ;)

Thanks for letting me know ;)

Has anyone had the same problem as Mel?

Thing is, the sale is a bit sneaky when it's only 50% off. The 3-4-2 doesn't work once the sale starts, you see, so the reductions aren't as good as you might think. Say you wanted three different sets at £25 each? Well, bfore Christmas you'd get them for £50 in total ie 33% off the total, after Christmas you'd be paying £37.50 ie 50% off the total, ie only 17% more of a reduction than buying the same sets on 3-4-2 before Christmas!!!

And if you went on and bought your three £25 sets on one of the special Christmas shopping nights, you'd get (or you did last year) 1000 points per £50 spent. So in essence, you're now only gaining 7% more by waiting for the sale rather than buying on a Christmas shopping night. Oh, and sometimes you get little freebies and samples on the Christmas shopping nights too.

And you'll get what you want rather than chance missing it. So my advice is to use your gift cards and vouchers for shopping at one of the bonus nights, then wait till the 75% off sale starts in the New Year and use your points for that.

I too have been eyeing up the S&G sets and wondering the same thing as my birthday is also in December. That has made things alot clearer and made my decision for me. And i can always buy more in the sale if there are any left:rotfl:

  • Hi

Sorry to barge in like a little bargey thing, but i was wondering something.

On the boots website both yesterday and today they have no Boots facial wipes. They have another boots home brand type. Have they stopped doing the boots face wipes. I only got some 2 months ago and it had new packaging, so i doubt they have stopped making them. They used to have ones in a blue packet, and the green `cumcumber` ones. All i can see now is

Boots Complete Skincare Caring Cleansing Wipes

    and

Boots Complete Skincare Revitalising Cleansing Wipes

I also saw on the shop window they where on offer for 99p, this was only 2 weeks ago?.

Sorry to go on about it, but i usually get them when they are 99p, and i didnt get any as i had too many packets to use up from last time i stocked up :o

    Thanks :)

They do usually have points evenings in December too, I suppose the dates just aren't out yet, so hang in there!
