I'm going to Manchester Arndale branch over the weekend (maybe/hopefully tomorrow). Is there any really good instore glitches to bother with or is it just a case of looking out for SEL reductions at the moment?

Just had an email from Boots saying my order has been 'partially dispatched'. I'M FUMING because they have cancelled the 3-4-1 No7 Mirrors. They have also removed 2 washing powders. Now I am just getting 2 fabric softeners that I have still had to pay P&P on. I only added the laundry stuff as extras as they are heavy to get home when hanging off buggy handles. I really wanted the mirrors as it was going to save me a fortune at Xmas. Anyone else had a similar problem and what did you do about it? Thanks

Actually I was hoping to put mine on the dressing table - I wouldn't recommend putting electrical items in anything wet!!

I guess they're the chances we take on getting glitches from .com BUT on the other hand I think they really ought to have an option to cancel within xx hrs of the email for example. Or maybe have an option in your settings to say what should be done if an order falls below a certain amount. (But they appear to be having problems with the basic functions at present so I'll leave those 'customer comments' for another day :rolleyes: )

Saw quite a collection of cold/flu medicine stuff at the DEWSBURY store on CLEARANCE. Got all the VICKS VAPORUB tubs I could see, a bargain at £1 each. Lots of Beechams, Hall and Lemsip stuff left. All had expiry dates in 2008. Might as well stock up on em!

Managed a few bargains today, Mark Hill shampoo and conditioners, full size £1.25 each, also on 3 4 2. I think its a heat protection one.
Also sunsilk shampoos and conditioners 50p each, on 3 4 2 !!
Pantene treatment mask, in the squeezy bottle £1.00 each, again on 3 4 2.
Lots of reduced sel's, minatures and full size.
Boots own label heat protection spray was 25p:eek: again on 3 4 2 !!
