hey all,
My little local boots has 2 mirrors in and some heated eyelash curlers. the mirrors are marked up as 39.99 still. Hopefully they'll be cheaper at the till...? but I've completely forgotten how this glitch works in store. I have one electrical voucher too. if I get 2 mirrors and the eyelash curler and use the voucher will I pay £15? SA is scary so don't want to try and get it wrong and pretend I don't want them! thanks

You really have to get 3 of the same items for the glitch to work hon

Can't remember the sums but you'll pay quite a bit more if you try to do it that way :(

I was going to sign up for freecycle before, but didn't as it asked my yahoo username, which is my name, as is email addy. I know I could sign up for another, but didn't seem worth it. Do other users see your username and email address?

Also, do you pay to send things to people on freecycle, or do they pay? Or do you only do swaps with local people who can come pick it up?

Yes, others can see your email and username, it is best to set up another one just for this, but you just advertise what you have to offer and if anyone is interested they email you and you can then arrange for them to call and pick up at a time convenient to both of you, as you sign up to a freecycle in your local area. Hi Skibster

I set up an email account just for freecycle, and have all my emails go to that account, so anytime I don't want to read them, I can just delete.

Yes other users will see your username and email address, so set up one just for freecycle if you don't want people to know your full name. You can have anything as an email address, so bootsmad@yahoo.co.uk?

You put the first half of your postcode on your post, and freecyclers should arrange with you directly to come an collect from your home your items. I have on occassion posted out items to freecyclers, especially if it was only the cost of a second class stamp, and have sent out stamped addressed envelopes for people to send me things, like reins.

The point of putting the first half of your postcode is that anyone looking for the item, will straight away work out how close they are to you for collection of the item. Saves timewasters but you do get them.

I had someone send me an email saying he wanted the items, here is his phone number and to contact him for collection. He never bothered to turn up. How rude!

Thanks for that.

What's it actually like on the skin? And how does it compare with Ecover for cleaning power? :)

Well I'm sensitive but DS is a nightmare! He gets on with it fine, although I use less than they say as it is really not needed unless your wash is pretty gruesome lol

Like I said, the magic formula is powder for stains on whites at a higher temp and liquids for colours/delicates etc.

I have alternated between ecover/method/surcare/boots sensitive with the washing up liquid and washing stuff etc. The only thing I still buy from ecover is their small bottle of handwash stuff for any jumpers of mine etc as it leaves them marginally softer...but them i'm dead fussy with my washing etc.

I would say that I do prefer the boots sensitive to ecover and it is not just the price lol

Wahing up liquid is definately better than ecover/method...but I do prefer surcare...so keep that in cupboard for major wash ups from sunday roast etc and use boots sensitive rest of time as there is always offers :)
