    Hi there

Yep just now (10 mins or so) - quickshop number is: 5202809.

Nearly fell off my chair when they went into my basket and £59.99 came off, followed by another £39.99!

I've not donated to my local charity shop for ages as when I come back home from town and take a short cut I can see the massive industrial wheelie bin they fill with stuff they do not want, it is full off 'old dears' and I swear they just dump loads of stuff in the wheelie save sorting it....you'd think they would atleast pass the bits on to the clothing banks etc:rolleyes: sorry...rant over lol

    Freecycle

Womens Aid find your local centre/refuge half way down page on drop down menu

Health Visitor presume you have one, but if not can be found here, they are good as most Health Visitors tend to keep a few bags at any one time in their cupboards as they always know those with a real need in the local community and also tend to keep a few bits to one side incase of accidents etc

Care Confidential has local crisis centres and they will give the clothes free to mothers on a low income or benefits in need

Baby Pack if you do not mind posting light bits abroad... they make up packs for newborn babies on the lower south coast of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, after a local lady saw newborn babies leave the hospital wrapped in newspaper because the mothers had nothing else to wrap them in!

However, if your having a sort out of your old bits (ie last years bobbly jumpers lol) it may be easier just to take it direct to a refuge as the women tend to arrive with just the clothes on their backs too. Free cycle is fab, but I always tend to think that if the people have internet access they probably have less of a need than those using the refuges and crisis centres etc

Thanks for that info - I have been trying to find somewhere to donate them to since she was a few months old and have been keeping them ever since in the hope that I would find some information.

I've got a fair bit so I shall sort through it in the next few days and clear some space.

    Thanks again.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've not been able to find any glitches mentioned. Do they only show up when you check out???

It seems to give 341 on anything that says:
3 for 2 mix and match on selected cosmetics and No7 products

Has anyone tried the 3 for 1 on selected cosmetics instore ?????

I'd like some of the L'oreal lipsticks and the max factor creme puff (3 of each) ......... and perhaps some P&P serum too ! Please let me know if anyone has tried it instore and if it worked. Thanks

LINKY FOR ALL RANGE OF SENSITIVE STUFF

Presume you were looking for 'washing up liquid' and not 'dish wash' they do not do dishwasher bits.

I know i've said it before, but for those of you new to the range, the powder is only good for 50 degree plus washes as it does not disolve great and the liquid is pants for stains. So you are best off buying powder for whites and liquid for delicates/colourds. I love the range, but only great if you use that way or you end up with lumps of washing powder stuck in the rubber seal or over black tops!
    Thanks for that.

What's it actually like on the skin? And how does it compare with Ecover for cleaning power? :)

    HI

catching up on today's posts, so this may have been answered already. I give all my baby clothes and other items I don't want or need anymore to Freecycle. It is a a yahoo group and you need a yahoo account to join the group, basically you advertise your items and then receive emails from other freecyclers offering to take the items and you can choose who to give them to.

You can usually tell the ones who want to just sell them on ebay or at a carboot sale. There are genuine people out there who are in real need of baby clothes due to hardship, etc.

Thanks for the info - I'll look into that too.

  • Hi everyone

I've never used the boots board before, but I may swiftly become an addict! Got an advantage card the other day so thought i should take a peek... and ended up spending a small fortune on the website haha.

But i'm really pleased because I love urban decay make up and could never afford to buy it - and I've managed to stock up at 1/3 of the price with the 341 offer. :money:

Thank you everyone for all the hints on this board :D

Do Boots always honour the glitches or should I expect an order cancellation soon?
