for the first time this week, I found 3 mirrors on the shelf. But my luck wasn't to last:(
a senior SA came over (I think she is probably head of the electrical dept) and offered to help me carry all 3 to 'her' till:rolleyes:

she scanned them all, then scanned 1 twice. I asked her why she had done that, and she said "HO have told us to do this because they are not scanning at the right price" I said my friend paid 20.00 for 3 earlier, but she wouldn't let me have them at that price:(
(Can you imagine her face if I'd pulled out my 2 x 5.00off vouchers:eek: )
I told her I didn't want them. Infact I left everything I was going to buy (to cover up the glitch). She is obviously guarding those mirrors with her life! (Oh, I hate my local boots:mad: )...I guess I just wasn't mean't to have them:rolleyes:

to add insult to injury, I couldn't find any johnsons top to toe either, and all the brag books had gone:(

On my way home I treated myself to some chocolate to make me feel better:D *another glitch will be along shortly. This time I am not going to be left behind*;)

Hi all
I've been on a quest to get a foot-spa for pressie, and not found one locally. I tried my local today and they are expected but not here yet. As I'm out and about tomorrow in a city which seems to have 6 Boots stores (faint) I phoned CS to ask if any of the stores had them, explaining that they were out of stock on .com and I wanted to buy one.
She said:
They would not be 1/2 price in store - the offers are different. I said I thought on this occasion they may be 1/2 priced, as the other electrical products are half price both on .com and instore.
They are not going to be available in store at all. I said that the lady in my local Boots was expecting them any day. She said that sometimes the stores say that but its not true!

The bottom line seemed to be that from her system, no stores nationally have them at the mo. Is this true? I tried a different tack - when will they be back at .com.
She said:
They are half price because they are discontinued, and there wouldn't be any more. I said that all the No 7 electrical stuff is half price - is it all being discontinued?

I was a bit disappointed by this conversation as it felt that she didn't really know what she was talking about. Maybe she shoudl be told to read the forum as ongoing training!!

Has anyone found the footspas in store yet?

I got today:
1 mirror (last one on shelf)
2 x manicure sets (eid presents for next week!)
3 eye lash curlers (more eid pressies!)
and then with my fragrance vouchers, got some of the Davidoff Wave for £5.50each!

Blooming barginous! Went up and almost assaulted / hugged a lady in the aisle with lots mirrors - she was clever enough to ask the SA if they had any in stock and got the last lot - so had to go up and say "MSE, MSE??". I thought she was gonna drop all her mirrors, pedicure sets, manicure sets.... etc

So a big hello to "student midwife". Did you get everythng through ok?? Had myfingers crossed for you.

I got greedy and went to Sutton afterwards to try the mirrors - they had loads! But got a clever SA who noticed it was too cheap, called over the manager who then put them thru on a 342 - so those will go back for a refund! Went round the corner to try again with another 3 mirrors at the perfume till and after i had paid, SA still had my receipt in hand, the same manager came over and mumbled to her, and then the SA kept the receipt and told me there was a mistake so they would have to refund me! Soooo close and yet so far!

Never mind, at least i got a mirror for me

OMG...Taken me ages to catch up with 5 days lol. Can I ask if anyone has spare electrical vouchers? I've been after the mirror for yonks (other 2 would have to be for raffles lol)and I put mine in the recycling Thurs am and KJ1980 told me about it that afternoon. Doh I'm daft!

Cheshire oaks today had Naked hand wash for £2, balm balms for 75p, S and G body butter for £1.10 and sanctuary face masks for 30p all in clearance section, and the till knocked £1 off too!

Oh sally06, what a shame for you Sounds like the Glitch Police are onto this one now
