Best way to heat my room?

Im on Click Energy 5 Dual Fuel. I have a nice shiny new gas central heating system (combi boiler) and radiators. However I only want to heat up the front room so feel it is a waste of both resources and money to bang the gas on just to heat that rad up. Is a better / cheaper option to turn on my 330W leccy panel heater?

On average Click 5 leccy rate (don't know where you live so can't say exactly) that heater would cost you 3.3p per hour to run. I would be surpised if the gas central heating cost less than that...Call me Carmine....

Ive got one of the EcoEye monitor thingies so when it gets cold enough to turn it on (it hasnt got there yet) Ill plug it in for an hour and see what happens. According to BG my tarriff is something like 21p/kwh for the first 125units of the quarter then 7p/kwh for the rest, I currently use 5 - 6Kw a day0
