maybe this explains why it is taking so long to send them out.
They had to change the promotion at the last minute and demand significantly increased?
Mmmmm!
Not sure where you think they had to change the promotion ?
The ruling, which has only just happened (11th Feb), says "The ad must not appear again in its current form." The word "FREE" being the issue.
I never noticed ANY wording difference between when this 1st ran in September (collect 8 tokens) or the December re-run (collect 3 Mail on Sunday tokens)
I ordered 3 of them and they were ALL delivered between 20th to 26th November.
Interesting that, despite the tens of 1000s that obviously took up this offer and applied for it, ONLY TWO people complained about supposedly having to make a "Premium rate" phone call, which cost under 30p in total, and therefore the monitor etc. "Couldn't be FREE".
I'm surprised that they (and hundreds more who could have jumped on the bandwagon) forgot that they had to, depending which offer, buy 8 Daily Mails (minimum cost £4) or 3 Mail on Sundays (cost £4.50) in order to get the required tokens to apply for the devices.
Then again you had to PAY £2.92 or £4.99 for the P&P
Good grief, that's buy newspapers, make a phone call AND pay the postage
Sad, very sad.
I'll be surprised that given the judgement if they don't demand a refund of their 30p (and perhaps the other costs) and maybe take the Mail to court and sue them for the distress and mental anguish of righting this wrong !
2 energy saving devices worth over £50 and they are quibbling over the wording of a newspaper ad (offering 100,000 montiors at £30+ each - so over £3 million worth) and the word "free" just because of a 30p phone call.
Idiots. Come the revolution .... FIRST AGAINST THE WALL !!! :rotfl:

5 months after the offer it finally arrived. Not sure if this was because of a letter of complaint I sent though...
Better late than never :rolleyes:0
