Have learned that because I am on dla and care ,my daughter who wants to move into new flat with me and younger son will not have to contribute anything towards rent .I am now hoping to claim IS ,I have rung up the office and they cannot tell me how much the benefit will be affected ?
My daughter brings home roughly £290 per week ,can anyone help?

Your daughter is not your dependant, you would not be claiming for her, so any personal claim for IS will not consider her earnings as long as she isn't giving you anything. I am guessing you're claiming because you can't claim IB due to lack of contributions? DLA is not a qualifying criteria in itself, as it doesn't mean you can't workOne day I might be more organised...........
