I want to buy 2 pairs of walking boots for me and my wife.
These will be used instead of wellingtons, mainly to walk our two Springers.
So......... they will need to be hard wearing, waterproof and comfortable.
I'm looking for a decent brand (but not if it's overpriced crap) but I've no idea which brands are good quality or just trading on a name.
Budget for the pair is about £100.

if you are looking for something a bit more substantial than wellies, then the above would be a good combination of the two. the height of a welly (prob walking through long, wet grass with dogs), but with the sole, warmth and ankle support of a hiking boot.
if you went for a plain hiking boot, you would prob need to purchase some gaiters too, to keep your legs dry
another thing is to get some decent socks to go with the boots, you can spend £00s on a pair of hiking boots, but if you dont wear the right socks, the boots will never be comfortable

Look under Mens footwear and Womens Footwear, rather than just "walking"0 -

Found the muckboots site interesting but surely they don't ship to UK? Or am I being thick here? The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

Thank you so much! :j :j
I tried the site you mentioned and got a gorgeous pair of pink boots for my daughter at uni - she had a look at the page before I ordered them and liked them - and I saved £30

You've probably already forked out for your new boots?
But in case you havn't have a look at these

They are not a brand that's well known in the UK, but from what I've read they are well up the top 10 of outdoor boots manufacturers in the world.
I've just bought a pair of the Storm style and I'm majorly impressed.
It's a £100 quality boot at half the price.
And if you buy from here

You get free P+P.
Hope this helps.2011 Wins - Dave Gorman Tickets :j Sony Bravia TV :beer:0
