I know that each individual has a 'safe' amount within a single financial institution, so a joint account would have 2 x the individual's allowance as it were, but what about junior accounts?
If I have an account with a maximum protected balance but also have a child's account which is in a MY NAME re-JUNIOR'S NAME format how does this protection work? Would this be counted within my balance or that of the child?
Has the upper limit now been raised or is it still 35K?
Thanks
