I've been using U-Drive in Poole for a while now for my van and various cars and can highly recommend them.

They seem to be fair and the odd things they have picked up have been reasonable. The testers have been happy to talk through the faults at the end of the test and give advice for fixing. Having said that the last two passed first time but did have some "advisories" which were fully explained.

The price and free re-test is excellent, especially for the van.

They seem to have multiple MOT bays which is probably why they usually have a few spare spaces.

The Council no longer do MOTs at the bus depot behind Castlepoint. They do taxis/private hire vehicles at the Council Depot in Southcote Road Bournemouth. I am not sure whether they do private vehicles, but you can phone them on 01202 451 451. This is the phone number of Bournemouth Town Hall, and I am sure that they would be able to assist you.
