I got books of 24 but the second class stamps i was told were not discounted anyway.0

Royal Mail has announced an increase in stamp prices from April 2006:
1st Class will rise from 30p to 32p
and
2nd class will rise from 1p to 22p
...so if you use a lot of 1st class stamps, it makes even more sense to get them now from Superdrug while they are discounted!
More info on the price rises on BBC News website here. According to BBC, Royal Mail wanted the price rises to be much higher!

I just heared that stamps will be going up in price (1p I think they said) so as the stamps just say 2nd class (or 1st as the case may be) and dont have a value printed on them, those of you who got lots will be about another 4.5% better of when you use them after the price rise.0

Superdrug told me its only 1st class, not 2nd, so I bought the 2nd anyway. Be organised and you might never need a 1st!0

aren't stamps as good as coins? Like if I wanted something from a shop, couldn't I pay in stamps?
If that's the case, it's like 5% off EVERYTHING in the UK! :P0 -
To the person who had not realised that you don't get a discount on packs of 24, don't just accept your fate! Go back to the shop and explain you hadn't realised there was no discount taken off 12s at time of sale and that if you had you wouldn't have purchased. Ask to exchange for the relevant packets and have the discount deducted. A reputable firm like Superdrug would never refuse a reasonable customer request like this.0

This offer was on MARTIN'S site last Xmas and I stocked up on books
of 24 second class, so if it was on last year I dont understand why
there not putting the offer on 24s this year.
But who care's, 2x12=24 so you still get them cheap,
I will be there tomorrow morning to stock up.0 -
