  • im at stage 3 and 4. i understand completely!
I am unhappy with the interest rate and want to upgrade my hsbc cash isa to an e-isa.
However it says no transfers in so im not completely sure if i can transfer the money because as i understand it says i cant. Do you think if i went into my bank and explained this they could transfer the money?

You can but try - however, as you say, the e-ISA product information says "Save up to £3,600 this tax year for new subscriptions only" AND "Transfers in are not available", so it appears that they are looking for new money. They already have your money in one of their Cash ISAs, so are unlikely to do what you would like, I suspect.
  • ok, thnx just wanted clarifcation on that but it doesnt hurt trying :)
  • owww, what a perfect time to shift my isa :D natwest and rbs :D 6.7% :D
Just filling the form in and
I apply to transfer my existing cash ISA Account number Sort code
and subscribe to this cash ISA for the tax year 20 /20 and each subsequent year until further notice. (Delete if you will
not be subscribing to this ISA.)

Will that need to be 2008/2009 or will that lock me in for next year when its april?
