Air Berlin Frequent-Traveller
Airlines don't make it often into these threads and this is a long-shot, but I wondered if anyone else is having the same problems as I have recently experienced with Air Berlin? AB frequent travellers can obtain an AB silver or gold card entitling them to make free seat reservations when booking, amongst other minor "goodies". However, the last two times I have booked with them on the web, the GBP6 charge has been added to the booking and it is only when I complained that they have refunded it, albeit without a single word of apology.
It seems astonishing that any company would deliberately set out to rip-off its best customers so I can only assume it is a technical glitch on the website, which they have been very slow to correct. If said problems continue, I was wondering how much pressure could be applied. Presumably being based in Berlin, they would not be subject to our Trading Standards rules - or would they?
