Exakt Saw - JML

Just thinking about buying one of those Exakt Saws from JML because it looks easier to use than my jigsaw but was wondering if it really is as easy to use as it looks in the advert.
The jobs I want to use it for include cutting down some hardboard 'marble effect' backing board for my fireplace (which should be a doddle to do if the advert can be believed).
Anyone out there got one?

You're probably quite right about how pricey it is but then how much would it cost me to get someone in to do a job that I can probably do with a good tool.
Any other thoughts, anyone?DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

Just ordered an exakt saw. It hope it is as easy to use as it looks in the demonstration or I will be returning it, after all its not really cheap at 90 quid!!0

I certainly would not pay that sort of money for it. Also, the depth limitation of only 12mm means that it can only be used for thin boards. You would still need your existing tools for other thicknesses of material. I would like to try one though.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
90 quid:eek:
They'll be in the discount shops for 25 in six months time.
i have lost count of the things i have seen this happen to.
The Ped egg is on sale at i think over a tenner or more, £3.99 on Leeds Marketmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It does look good but I always sceptical of these marketing companies with there glossy adverts and channels on tv which JML have on freesat and even freeview0

I never bought one from JML but would still like one. There are some on ebay for about £50 from powersellers with very good feedback.
I'm watching one that has about 2 hours left on the auction although there are some 'graded' ones a bit cheaper. We'll see if I'm brave enough to bid!DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024
