Hi, I've tried to search this forum without success, so I will ask the question and hope that I get a reply.
Does anybody out there know how to replace the rubber door seal on a Hoover CA232.

Its not difficult, If you have a local spares shop buy the seal(gasket)from them and ask them for advice, they will usually be glad to help.

Just out of interest, we have replaced a door seal in our hoover because it became all mouldy and horrible, and no amount of cleaning would shift it, (it was ingrained into the rubber), and we had it replaced ,can't remember what it cost, but the machine was only just out of it's warranty. Would never buy another hoover, they are noisy, slow, and despite 3 visits from a hoover specialist the machine still wouldn't take more than 50% of the conditioner, it left it in the tray. Will be returning to Hotpoint next time..Not ashamed to say ABBA are Great :j0

Dunkyboy. I have to agree with you about Hoover, The one I have asked advise about is my sons, we have a Bosch....Great m/c would recommend every time.0
