Ebooker e-tickets

Last night I booked 3 multi-destination trips to the US for next April. The girl in India said that because my stepdaughter's surname is long, we might not be able to get an e-ticket for her (something to do with available digits) and might have to pay extra to the relevant airlines to get paper tickets, but she couldn't tell me how much it would cost. I should get an answer tomorrow on whether the e-ticket is available for all 3 of us, but how does this sound to you? Is it normal? I've never used Ebooker before so don't really know what to expect, although I did once use Travelbag minus stepdaughter and had no problems.

Sounds like discrimination to me. Say they need to get the sytem altered, not discriminate against people with names of more than a given number of digits.

In any case why should the name on an e ticket be any differnt to the name on a paper ticket? The name is stored in their system electronically, so there should not be any limit on size!!

Hi,

I can confirm there is a limit to about 24 letters on E tickets.

Have you included a Middle name that you could delete? Title / First name /family name need to match your passport.

Most airlines charge £25 a ticket for paper tickets on E ticketable routes.

If E bookers speak to the airline I am sure they would give them authority to waive the fee
