Are Sky selling my personal details to other companies?

Maybe they are trying to make a living but I find it a bit much they are targeting people who don't even have a Sky box registered to them.

there is a thread running somewhere else about this on here. keep an eye on your bank statements, they have taken money from my account! (and I haven't authorised them to!)

Managed to find the thread here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1758375 This seems to be a problem with a company called Satcover though - is it the same company as Digital Satellite Warranty Cover?

I got the same letter on Friday, btu the strange thing is it was addressed in the exact same way as my sky bills. I mean exact as the first letter of my first name and the second name. Sky are the only ones who address me in this fashion. Where did they get this information from?

I've just had a call from a company called "Digital Services"
Letting me know that my Sky box is out of warrenty soon and will cover it for £1.50 a week, I couldn't really be bothered listening to them:o
Are these the same people as the OP?
