check the cards t&c but most cards do not give any rewards for cash transactions only purchases of goods. Just got £15 quid back from sainsburys card for 12 months use and spend of over 4k not that good a reward is it!!0

All the cashback cards I have used state in their T&C that they will remove cashback points for any refunds you get on your card. So you would only get 1p cashback.0

If you spend £1000 on betting you would normally get the cashback/points (check card T&Cs for specific cards). When you put £999 back, if this is done as a credit card refund, it will generate negative cashback and cancel out part of the accumulated cashback. However, if you pay £999 off the account (as cash/cheque etc.), it would not generate negative cashback so you would keep the cashback on the £1000. So the trick is get your money onto the card as an account payment, not a credit card refund or, have credit card refunds sent to a different card.0

You would have got double that with an Amex blue card. £4k gives £30 moneyback as standard. More if you made use of the introductory 2% rate.
Plus, If you sign up for an Amex blue via Greasy Palm, you get a £15 reward from them too!!0 -
