In the Local Moneysaving section, can we have a Republic of Ireland section?
I realise that the ROI is not part of the UK, but I do feel very strongly that an ROI section would be very popular in the forum. I for one (as an Englishman living in ROI), use the site daily, and I'm sure other British ex-pats in Ireland do the same. Not to mention that Irish people in Ireland would - I'm sure - love to start using the site.
Please, please.. please? :j

Hi jammin
I'm afraid not. It actually breaks our Terms and Conditions as a UK based site. I've doubled checked with Martin and the decision has to stand.
Sorry.

Thanks, milla! I'm aware of that site, but it's nothing compared to MSE. :A0 -
Just out of interest, what particular aspect of the T&Cs does it "break"?0

Hi,
In light of Martin's post here, is it now possible to include an Ireland section, to the Local Moneysaving sub-section?
I am certain that this welcome addition would expand the site's userbase greatly.
Many thanks in advance.0 -
askaboutmoney is !!!!!.
I should probably join in an effort to make it better, but it's so bad I can't be bothered.
The financial regulators website does alot of the stuff that Martin does here though.

Is MSE Forum Manager around to provide an update on this?0 -
Hi jammin
Sorry for the delayed reply; just noticed this.
As far as i'm aware, we cater for Northern Ireland as it's part of the United Kingdom, but we don't cater to any territory outside that definition, which is part of our T&Cs
I think Martin probably meant to specify Northern Ireland in that post, but will speak to him and double check in case things have changed.

Just to update; it was an accidental error and Martin has now amended it
Apologies for the confusion.
