Just a reminder that the deadline for responses to BOTH consultations is 5pm on 6th December.
That means it is just 3 days away.
The two consultations are:Number Translation Services: A Way Forward
and
Providing consumers with improved information about Number Translation Services (those numbers beginning 08x) and Premium Rate Services (those numbers beginning 09x).
It is recommended to at least read the summary pages above before responding but for those in a hurry can visit here for the questions and a questionnaire response form for the 'NTS: A Way Forward consultation' and here for the questions and a questionnaire response form for the 'Providing consumers with improved information about Number Translation Services (those numbers beginning 08x) and Premium Rate Services (those numbers beginning 09x)' Consultation.
You know it makes good moneysaving :money: sense to fill these two questionnaires in!

Just called Alliance & Leicester on their International helpline number to avoid being charged for the 0870 number and they refused to take my call, give me an alternative landline number or call me back. I am utterley disgusted, all I wanted to do was cancel my overdraft facility because it costs me a fortune, there is no option for this on the online banking website.0

Call again and be prepared to tell them that you're calling from Spain where you're spending a few days with a friend.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Or phone the A&L 'international' number via 1899. There is a good chance that during the day, you will appear to be a genuine international caller!0
