Confused between applying for Credit card
i need 0% on purchases for 10 months and the cards I have selected are
Halifax or Barclaycard.
I dont want to apply for both, but would like to know
which one has a better acceptance history
which one has a history of giving generous credit limits
I belive I do have a good (not excellent) credit history

Hi Skyjumper,
I personally have Halifax card and it was my third ever credit card. My previous ones gave me £400 (the first ever c/card) from bank where I had my current account as that is what many people advise for first credit card, my second credit card gave me £1700 and Halifax gave me £3000. No problem with application.
So I would say that it should be safe to apply for Halifax. Obviously I also only have a "good" credit rating and not "excellent" as I never had over £5k limit and I don't have 5 years of credit history.0 -
thanks Any for your reply. i was hoping to Apply for that.
but anyone here, any exp with the barclaycard 0% deal for 10months.
any suggestions welcome0 -
Have you considered M&S?
May as well get some cashback (in the form of M&S vouchers) as well as 10 months 0% on your spending?0 -

thanks YorshireBoy- never thought about M & S.
i heard of Barclaycard - being one of the good ones in current market.
Having not so excellent credit score, which of these have a good chance to accpet me. I already have an MBNA with 8K limit to which I have Balance transfered until Feb 2009. i know this might be something lender will look while giving out a cc and also the Credit Limit will depend on that
But my wuery is which one of these has a better acceptance rate, as I think I will only have one chance- Halifax, Barclaycard or M&S.
i hope someone will help with this0
