Yes i love those fleecy ones it reminds me of when he was little baby again!!!
He woudnt sleep in sleeping bag when he was first born so we always used blankets. The duvet looks so nice and snuggly though going to try him with it tonight.0 -

Charlie said mum for the first time yesterday!! i was so happy as he says dad, grandad, hiya, ta bye and sit(to the dog) and was gutted he wouldnt say mum but out the blue he started to shout it:D cant believe he will be 1 on monday! he is still a terror and is in to everything! still no sign of him walking any time soon:D
hope mums and babies are all doing well xxWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
i would think maybe he'd kick the duvet off even easier than the blankets, but you can but try! My friend puts her wee man in pjs then a fleece sleep suit to keep him warm cos he kicks his quilt off.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Going to a neighbours this evening too - shame DS decided to have a temp of 102 overnight!. I took today as annual leave and just had a quiet day at home. He's still running a temp of about 100, but not really ill?The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Well had a nice evening with some neighbours and DS slept all night - still hot though. Poor kid is wearing t shirt and shorts...trying to avoid medicating him during the day.
We've just sorted out his first official dental appointment, so I ordered a couple of books for him to look at :
Going to the Dentist (Usborne First Experiences) and Open Wide by Tom Barber. I'd say the usbourne one is more at his level of being factual, but the Tom Barber one is a great picture book and will probably be read as a story repeatedly. I also found an American Dental Association cartoon online that he watched this morning and really liked:

I know it's not exactly the same as a British dental appointment, but it's interactive and you can explain any differences to an older child? The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
oz has his first dental appointment already booked! Dentist said to bring him in at 9 months, but i'm waiting til he's a year, he has 8 teeth already and loves getting them brushed which is a blessing! don't know how on earth dentist will get him to open his mouth but we'll see what happens when the time comes.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

My suggestion is to take the child with you to your checkups, if at all possible, so that they can see YOU opening wide and letting the dentist poke around inside YOUR mouth. I had to send DS1 to one of his Dad's appointments for that reason. He's now fine.Signature removed for peace of mind0

My boys came with me to the dentist and Charlotte will too. Basically I lay in the chair with one of the boys on my knee, and the dentist played along as if it was a game where he and my son looked in my mouth and then he lay back on my chest (my son, not the dentist!), so the dentist and me could see in his mouth.
I even got a sticker for being good as wellHere I go again on my own....0
