wireless router query

I have a cable moden on virgin media, when i use the usb wire connection its 10mbps but when I use the ethernet coonnection it says 100mbps...

does that i mean if i use wireless my max will be 100?

does a wireless router need to be N to support this speed, what if I buy a a/b/g router?

any recommendations on router... 1000h supprts n wireless?

Don't use the USB connection its slower (as you have found out)its only USB1.1

You are NOT getting 100Mbps from the internet...that speed is between your PC and your modem (hence why ethernet is faster than USB1.1)....you are still only getting "upto" 10Mbps from the Internet/modem

An N wireless router is POINTLESS unless you want better range (distance from PC to router ie outside or through THICK walls) and faster file transfer ie 100Mbps from wireless router to pc

However if your just a normal home user the G wireless network is just fine (54Mbps) especially if your just using it to surf and download from the internet (as your not going to be able to download faster than the G router transfers the files)

So don't waste your money
