My OH and I have both our personal and business accounts with HBOS and Halifax. Does anyone know the limit for a Business Account. In addition would it be treated separately from our personal account.

Sorry did not word that quite correctly. Does anyone know if the £35k maximum allowance is the same for a business account if the company goes bust.0
-
The allowance is the same for small firms as it is for personal claimants.
It would only be treated seperately if the company was a seperate legal entity, for example a Limited Company.0 -
It is a limited Company. Do you know the limit on that?0

The same, £35k per claimant per institution.
Hell will freeze over before we get to a situation where the FCSC is required to recover HBOS savings. You might as well put gold bars under your pillow.0
