If you are here for 4 days, you could always do a day In Edinbrugh and in true MSE style, book your Megabus tickets now for pennies!
China Buffet King is an ace all you can eat Chinese, 2 branches, one on Mitchell Street (I Think) and one on Sauchiehall Street.
If you want to push the boat out, try Kubla Khan, Mongolian, down in the Merchant City!0 -
Theres a lot of nice pubs in the Merchant City & some really nice restaurants there too. If youre there on a Fri/Sat night Id go for that area rather than Sauchiehall St theres not so much bother down there0

The Corinthian is LOVELY its just off George Square, so nice & central. Its got a lovely bar area & the food is gorgeous
Its a bit further up towards Sauchiehall St than the Merchant City but I'd definitely recommend it 0 -
The Corinthian is part of the G1 Group. I really like Arta (another one of theirs) Same idea, restaurant, bars, and clubrooms, all under one roof. I think after 11 PM or so, there is a cover charge, but if you register on their website, you can get on the Friday night guestlist at either (or both
)
I'm sure you'll have a great time, where ever you go.

The recommendations are great, thankyou. I found a website, which had quite a few negative reviews on, however I am pleased that both yourself and starlight thinks its great! Will defo be going there on the Friday night.
Getting really excited now.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to all who posted on this thread. Had an absolutely fantastic weekend, and cannot wait to go back. The biggest impression we left with was how friendly the people were. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, people on the street - nothing was too much trouble.
Can really recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Theatreland. Brilliant value and spotlessly clean - and I am a real fussy moo!!
We even experienced proper 'airport closing' snow - a real novelty to us southerners!!
And the 'Edinburgh' hospitality was very warm and generous!! And the shortbread plentiful!
Thanks again!
